At ComplyWith there is a strong passion for doing things right – not just from a customer’s compliance perspective, but also regarding internal culture and processes. It’s in this kind of environment where design can really make a difference.
After graduating with Honours in Graphic & Typographic Design at the Royal Academy of Arts in the Netherlands, Pep went on to be a digital designer for interactive agencies in Amsterdam, the Hague, London and Wellington. He developed his passion for pushing creative boundaries on Europe-wide campaigns working for global brands like Puma, MTV, BBC, and Volkswagen.
Named after his favourite Dutch snack, Pep started Salted Herring during his early years in London. Since then it has grown into a New Zealand based strategic creative agency built on a mountain of digital love.
As ComplyWith’s contracted design lead for the last 3 years, Pep has helped us refresh the brand and lead the re-designing of our product user experience. He applies a robust design process, lateral thinking and a bit of magic to ensure that the results are engaging and intuitive.
It’s very rewarding to work on a tool that potentially saves lives and apply design to make this process more intuitive and even a bit more delightful.
When he’s not working his design magic, Pep can be found sailing on Wellington Harbour, getting inspired by art and design from bustling cities, or snacking on salted herring.
Pep’s dog Sonny is often by his side whether that’s during a bushwalk or a design meeting at the ComplyWith office.
